FAQs
What potential clients are asking about me and my business.
Are you outsourcing?
Occassionally. From time to time I will outsource programming or illustrative work. Send your name, contact info, and resume to info@nathancurrin.com – if I’m interested you’ll hear back from me.
My company has a project they need pro-bono. Do you do that type of work?
Unfortunately, no. I get so many of these types of requests it’s just impossible for me to take on any kind of work for free project at this time.
Paper or Plastic?
I would say paper in most cases.
Would you be interested in doing some contract work in our office?
No, I'm sorry. That doesn’t interest me at all.
What kind of services do you provide?
If it gives me the opportunity to be creative then more than likely I dabble in it. I primarily focus on design for both print and Web. I work with clients all over the U.S. on website work, branding and identity/logo work, print and packaging and more. For an extensive list of my services, check out the Services area.
Do you design WordPress sites?
Yes! The majority of the websites that I do are custom built, WordPress themes. I don’t limit myself to WordPress, but if you’re looking for a WordPress Developer, then you’ve come to the right place.
My cousin or the shop down the street can design my website for $500. Can you match their rate?
No. You get what you pay for… if you’re really looking for something in that price range, I am probably not the designer for you. I do, however offer website and design options for just about any budget.
Can you design a logo for me?
I normally only work on logos as a part of a larger branding or marketing project. But contact me and let’s talk.
Are you the same Nathan Currin who sings in that band?
I am NOT the Nathan Currin from the band, Family Force 5 (I love those guys though). I am, however the Nate Currin (www.natecurrin.com) who sings, writes and makes folk rock music. I toured for years, but as of the last 2-3 years I am primarily off the road and focused on design and marketing.
Are you based in Atlanta, San Francisco or Tampa Bay?
While I work from the road occasionally and San Francisco was my home for several years, I now spend more of my time in Tampa Bay than anywhere, working from my home office in Clearwater, Florida. I also keep a location in North Georgia with a business suite in Gainesville, just north of Atlanta. I work remotely most of the time and spend a great deal of time not only in Atlanta and Florida but all over this beautiful country.
All that being said, I do take on clients from all over the US and occasionally even foreign clients. So, if you’re interested in employing my services or anything else that I offer then give me a call and let’s discuss your needs.
What are your rates?
I don’t really have rates. Each clients’ needs are varied and therefore my costs vary for each project. I bid projects on a case-by-case basis, and really only bid on projects that genuinely interest me.
What inspires you as a designer?
All sorts of things inspire me! I get inspired by simple things such as buildings and architecture as well as items in every day life. But specifically, I am inspired by thrift stores, poetry, nostalgia, Sigur Rós, medieval history, Biblical literature, my Faith in God, good music, cigars and coffee, and antique tobacco pipes.
