A collaboration on our National Parks by travel enthusiasts
When a group of travel enthusiast friends approached me about a collaboration on a National Parks project, I jumped at the chance. I loved the idea of creating something that sparked an interest in the US National Park system and would bring awareness to the beauty of our National Parks.
Visit our National Parks is a collaboration of travel enthusiast who had the idea of creating a project to showcase a certain number of the National Parks of the United States and generate ideas of things to do, attractions to see, and places to stay inside each National Park.

The Challenge
I had some ideas right out of the gate about what kind of logo, emblem, and style to explore for this project. A big fan of national parks and travel myself, I wanted to create something that would personally speak to me, spark my curiosity, and inspire me to embark on a journey of a lifetime to visit each National Park in the United States. We started by focusing on 6 of the National Parks, and spearheading that effort by creating an emblem for Visit our National Parks : Get Out & Explore.

The Answer
Once the parent emblem was created, I began drawing / sketching up ideas for each of the National Parks that we collectively decided to focus on: Arches, Yosemite, Joshua Tree, Yellowstone, Glacier and Olympic. I took a series of photos of each of these parks, and I used those photos to inspire a series of badges - one for each of the parks included.
The hope is to take these 6 badges and have them printed in the future. The collective group has the goal of using the sale of these badges and emblems to inspire travel and support for our National Park System. Eventually, we hope to turn this into an extensive website as well, where travelers can gain further inspiration and direction.
